Manufacturer Part Number: WPW10705575

The Turbidity Sensor is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It detects the level of particles in the water during the wash cycle, allowing the dishwasher to adjust the cycle duration and water usage for optimal cleaning performance. This sensor ensures that dishes are thoroughly cleaned by monitoring water clarity.

You should replace the turbidity sensor if it becomes faulty or damaged. Causes of a bad turbidity sensor can include regular wear and tear, exposure to hard water minerals, or electrical malfunctions. A malfunctioning sensor can lead to inefficient cleaning cycles and poor wash results.

Symptoms of a bad turbidity sensor include:

  • Dishes not being cleaned properly
  • Dishwasher running longer than usual or shorter cycles
  • Error codes related to the sensor
  • Inconsistent wash performance

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Hi Rocco. It seems like you have done approx. 75% mechanically what needs to be done. Did you clean all the spray arm jets to insure they are not clogged on the ends or the bottoms also? They can be cleaned out by removing them carefully, and rinsing them out while using a pick tool to dislodge any stuck particles. There are no longer any phosphates in the dishwasher soap powders anymore. This was used to activate the cleaning agents in your soap. Today's soaps are formulated with different agents to release the cleaning agents that are needed for a proper clean. All across the country now this is happening, so don't feel alone. My wife has changed from cascade powder ( 10yrs use) and went to the cascade tablets with the swirl of green and blue on the top. She has physically showed me the difference and "happiness" she enjoys again. I suggest to also use Glisten part # (the water hardness test kit part #W10549845. Or try dishwasher magic part # TJ104. I hope this helps. Thank- You.
