Timothy for Model Number Maytag MDB7609AWS2 My dishwasher is shutting down completely at certain points in the cycle. A normal wash will shut down approximately 3 times, where as a light wash will shut down only once. The dishes come out clean and all audible visible functions are operating, wash pump, drain pump and heating element. The shut down completely disables the control panel for approximately 10 minutes. I have replaced the control panel (same issue happening). I ran a diagnostic cycle and it came up as the OWI sensor. I removed the sensor, cleaned it and placed it back in the unit. I ran a another diagnostic cycle and did not get the same OWI sensor indication, but still had the same shut-down issue when I ran the unit. I have ordered an OWI (turbidity sensor) and plan to replace it. Thoughts? Maybe the control board?
Answer Hello Timothy. If you replace the sensor and the issue continues, it would lead to replacing the control board in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 29, 2014
