Steffan C for Model Number 665-13843 K601 I have a Kenmore Dishwasher. When I run the dishwasher, it cleans fine but I am always left with standing water on the bottom. I then hit Cancel/Drain once or twice to drain the water. To try and diagnose the myself, I completed the following. Tighten all the screws on the door. Removed and cleaned the filter, checked and cleaned impeller, Removed the drain hose, raised the drain hose higher to the bottom of counter. I watched the water drain with considerable force into my sink, so there is no blockage. I cleaned and removed the check valve. I cleaned the float. Ran diagnostics by hitting heat dry, normal, Heat dry & Normal. it cycles through and seems fine. I though it may have been the Optical Water Indicator, but that only senses dirt in the water and not the water level. Is there a sensor for determining water level? Is it a control board Issue? What am I missing?
Answer Steffan, You will want to check to make sure that the check valve on the drain is in place and not allowing water to come back into the unit. If the check valve is good then it is most likely not running through the drain long enough which would be a control board issue. Read More...
