Brad for Model Number wdf510paysa The unit is not draining at all even when I hit the cancel and drain button. Drain hose is not blocked. I have cleaned the filter and checked for blockage. I don't see a check valve and not sure this model has one. Once I manually drained the machine, I disconnected the drain pump and pushed the drain/cancel button and the impeller does spin on the pump. Can the pump motor just be weak without enough torque to pump the water, but still spin in air?
Answer Hello Brad, The check valve on this unit is in the drain hose WPW10545278. If it is not stuck you should check for clogs in the drain line. If connected to a disposer make sure the "knock out" has been removed. If nothing is located, the drain pump could be the issue if 120Vac is present during drain. Read More...
