Answer Don, the turbidity sensor simply monitors the water to see how clean or dirty it is. This information is sent to the control to tell the DW to continue to run or that the dishes are clean. You may try running a cleaning product through the DW to help with the odor. We offer some products that are made for this very purpose. Also, there is always water in the bottom of the sump. This acts like a trap to help keep fumes from the house drain from coming back into the DW. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, November 20, 2018
