Chris Paulsen for Model Number KGCT305XWH2 I have one burner where the ingniters keeps sparking after the burner lights. The other 3 work fine. I have replaced all the igniter switches and it still happens . Do I need to replace the control module?
Answer Chris, Check the burner base, cap and surrounding area for spillage and debris. Check that the igniter itself isn't loose or damaged. and that the burner flame is the proper size and color. Your cooktop has a "re ignition" module WP4454392 / 3185229 Spark Module. If the burner flame isn't within a close enough proximity of the igniter, the igniter reads this as no flame and attempts to re ignite the burner. If the burner assembly and igniter are OK, then replace the spark module. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 15, 2018
