Joe for Model Number 31ha-3kx My oven glow light comes on, but I have to tap on the part below it to get the burnner to light. Which part is bad and needs replacing? Is it the gas valve or control or what? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks much.
Answer Hello Joe. You will need to test and see if there is 3.4-3.8 volts AC at the gas valve with the igniter on. If not, you will need to replace the igniter 12400035. If the proper voltage is there, you will need to replace the gas valve WP7501P133-60. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
