The Spark Module Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool ranges. It is responsible for generating the spark needed to ignite the gas burners on the cooktop. The spark module sends electrical signals to the igniters, creating the spark that lights the gas for cooking.

Over time, the spark module can fail due to electrical issues, exposure to moisture, or normal wear and tear. When the spark module becomes faulty, it can lead to various problems with igniting the burners.

Spilled water over stovetop while cooking. Now all the igniters are continuously sparkling. Will I need to replace the spark switch or have I damaged the regulator?

I have a Magic Chef oven model number 34JN-5TKVW-EV. The oven lights just fine but the burners don't get a spark. I'm guessing because the oven lights that the spark module isn't the issue but I could be wrong. What do you think?

Steve N, Based on the information and model number provided the issue in question is likely the surface ignitor switches, wiring harness, or spark module. The oven has separate glow ignitors.

On Maytag oven, none of the top burners OR the oven are sparking. No clicking from any of them. All of them stopped at the same time. Unit has power, showing light and clock on the top panel. Which piece has gone bad?

Ben, This would likely be the spark module, but you will need to check to see if you are getting power to the spark module with a multimeter as this could be a power/wiring issue.
