Kim for Model Number JDG8130ADB I recently purchased two new sealed cartridges (JGA8100ADB) for my Jenn-Air cooktop (jdg8130adb). One of the four igniters wouldn't spark so I switched the igniter for the igniter from my old cartridge and it sparked. I purchased a new igniter to replace the older one and it worked great for a while, now it will not spark. There is gas flow and all 4 burners click when I try to light, just one will not spark. Do I need a new spark modulator, or could there be another problem?
Answer Kim, It would be recommended to check the ignition switches on the valves to make sure that they are good. If they check ok then check the wiring between spark module and the burner. If this checks ok then check to make sure that the burner is not dirty and if they check ok then the issue will be a faulty spark module. Read More...
