Becky for Model Number 6498VVV I have a Magic Chef stove model 6498VVV. Two of the burners will not ignite (left front and right rear, as I am facing the stove). I have verified gas is coming to them (I am able to light with a match). If I try to light the left front burner, I can see the left rear burner sparking. If I try to light the right rear burner, I can see the left front sparking. Could this be the spark module? Is there a way to test it (by switching wires - I thought I read this somewhere)? My stove seems to be connected to the surrounding cabinets/wall. Can I reach the spark module by removing the bottom drawer and going in underneath? I replaced the oven ignitor this way several months ago... thank you.
Answer Hello Becky. It sounds like the spark module is the culprit here. Check the igniters for cracks. If the are good, you will need to replace the spark module. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 18, 2011
