Hans M. for Model Number Whirlpool Conquest GS6SHAXML00 - color: black and grey front My water dispenser is "loose" because this part (acting as spring) which is supposed to "push" the water dispenser lever "out" is bent (don't know why it's bent?, thus the lever is not spring "loaded". How do I replace this part? I have removed the front part. Then it's dangling by the cable. there is circuit board covered with a piece of white paper-board in front of it. Before I make mistake I thought I stopped and reinstalled everything. Actually I loosen the screw holding that part, but since it's to tight to work on it, I might not be able to reinstall it.
Answer Hello Hans. When you remove the front cover off the dispenser, you will unplug the cable going to it. Then you can access the screw for the retainer WP2194719 and remove it.
