Clinton for Model Number maytag plus MTB2156GES My freezer/refrigerator will run normally, but when the cooling kicks on it just kicks right back off. It blows cool air, but not cold air. Just seems like as soon as whatever it is kicks on to make it cool , it just kicks right back off. but still runs normally.
Answer Clinton, You will want to make sure that the condensor fan motor is running. If not then check for 120 vac at the fan motor and if there is power but no motor operation then replace condenser fan motor. If the fan is ok, remove the start relay from the compressor and shake it. if it rattles then the relay is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
