Scott April 22, 2020 for Model Number et8wtkxkq00 I have a compressor relay/overload with number 4SP1040 on it. The parts lookup shows a part that looks completely different and does not seem to have the connections that would attach to the compressor. What part is a direct replacement to 4SP1040? Thanks
1 Answer Scott, The part number for the overload and relay kit on your unit will be 8201769. For this, you may have to cut and splice the original wiring and add 1/4" spade connectors on the wires that connect to the overload and relay. There are holes for them to plug onto the compressor itself. For this, the overload will get the L1 which would be the red wire and the relay will get the white wire on terminal number 2. There will not be a capacitor on this model. Read More...
Bill October 12, 2017 for Model Number MTB1950GRW I have new Start Devise # WP2319794 for my Maytag fridge MTB1950GRW but it is different from the old one. It should plug in to the compressor but hooking up the old wires is a problem. I have blue, orange, and white wire plugs. The new part will take 2 plugs at openings marked L & N. Above the plug holes are 2 openings that look like they take a spade but have no markings. What goes where? Thanks, Bill
1 Answer Bill, The blue wire will go to the L1 on the relay and the white will go to neutral. It appears that the orange would go to the capacitor which would not be needed because it mounts to the relay. Read More...

Gene March 01, 2016 for Model Number MTB2656GEW I ordered the "guaranteed fit" start relay switch for my Maytag MTB2656GEW and it did not fit. OEM # 61006022 is substituted with part # 2319794. if I could get instructions on where to go with the orange, white and blue wires I'd be in business, even though I'll have adapt the blade connectors. No instructions or pics included with the new switch. can you help?

Shane December 31, 2015 for Model Number 106.63282301 I have a Kenmore refrigerator model number 106.63282301 and need a new starter. This appears to be the correct part (2319794) and the picture appears to match the broken starter that I currently have. However, I previously ordered the same part number from another part site and the terminals did not match the broken part that I currently have. I just want to confirm, does the picture here match the actual part? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Shane, While we cannot guarantee the manufacturer has not changed the part since the picture was taken, it should be a drop in replacement part. and should work on the model provided. Read More...

Rooster March 14, 2015 for Model Number MTB 2656GE First noticed, Freezer ice was wet, fridge area not cold, last night and back wall inside freezer was frosted, so cleaned out fridge & freezer, cleaned rear lower evaporator area fan does run. Shut unit off for good hour then notice water dripping out upper freezer door at bottom corner, not sure why that was!! Re started unit after about an hour, appears it ran all night now Freezer is cool++ but not real cold for making ice, Fridge is not very cool at all, the inside cabinet fan or fans are not moving air as normal. I have both settings at mid to upper range. Had no noticeable noises prior or performance / operational problems.
1 Answer Rooster, Check for ice or heavy frost on the back wall of the freezer, carefully press in on the back wall, see if you hear the ice and frost on the evaporator crunching. Sounds like a defrost problem. Read More...
