Sergio for Model Number msd264rheb Having problems with ice maker. Some time make ice than stops making ice. Move the ice bin then by next day makes ice. Can you please help me on this problem ?
Answer Hi Sergio. Regulate the ice bin so you use half of the ice in the bin before you turn the ice maker on once again. This way the ice does not get stuck in the ejector blades of the ice maker. Reach in and see if there is a cube stuck sideways. If the ice stripper arm part # WP2182124 is broken, then you need to replace the stripper carefully as you need to loosen the ice maker head bolts behind the white cover. It sounds like you have an intermittent issue . Make sure the connector ends are making positive terminal contact tight. When the water minerals get built up in the bottom of the ice maker, it allows the ice not to eject well. Examine the bottom of the inside of the ice maker to see if this is your cause. It normally is a deeper color all one shade of olive green. If the ice maker head internal contacts do not allow the heater to energize for approx. 6-seconds then the ice does not eject. All of this are signs of a needed ice maker par # D7824706Q. Thank You. -- Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, March 6, 2012
