Sid C for Model Number 402.89032010 My dryer drum started making contact with the front wall two weeks ago, getting louder all the time. Sears answer was "absorber sponges", cheap sponge on contact tape that lasted 5 minutes as I suspected they would. Not original parts. I have no drum breaks, felt is intact all the way around both front and back and I have no idea why this is happening. Metal on front wall is shiny on top quarter of the drum path but I can't tell what is causing the paint to get wore off. I am ready to give up on this dryer. Has anyone else ever encountered this?
Answer Sid, You will want to check the rollers on the unit to make sure that they are not worn or damaged as this would be the most likely cause for the issue to occur. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 4, 2014
