Mike for Model Number WFW9640XW00 I volunteer maintenance for an animal shelter and their machine is just out of warranty. They said it started to run on a load yesterday then showed a F30 code. When I came in to look at it will spin one time then the drain pump cycles on and after a time back off then the dispenser motor begins to move the arm from left then past the roman numerals II, III, IV then back left repeatedly and makes a clicking sound until I press cancel. No water enters the machine at any time. First thought the gears in actuator might be bad but opened it up and all looks good. The clicking appears to be the detents on gear for position points so may not be the problem. There is no water in the tub and the drain pump filter is clean. Have hot and cold water to the solenoids. Basic check of connection. Press pause /cancel to reset or unplug does nothing to correct. Thanks for your help!
