Steve November 11, 2021 for Model Number GHW9300PW4 The fabric softener dispenser doesn't always completely empty or empties but has clean water in it after cycle complete.
1 Answer Steve, This issue would most likely be caused by a water valve issue but before replacing, check to make sure that there is no clogging in the dispenser ports at the top of the dispenser housing. Read More...
Will April 04, 2021 for Model Number MFW9700SQ1 I have changed the pressure switch the inlet valve the flowmeter and the control board. The water still continues to flow constantly and when I do the diagnostic it skips C02 then goes to C03 and continues to fill until I skip to the next test. The agent said the dispenser switch is connected electrically and can also cause this problem. Should I change out the switch?
1 Answer Will. I would recommend that you use a multimeter and check for power to the water inlet, if there is power then it could be a dispenser switch and or board. Read More...
Ellie February 09, 2021 for Model Number 110.42822201 Kenmore front load washer FH code. I disconnected and connected power. I can pause and restart, but after a minute shows the FH code again and I have being able to finish my washing task like that. The Cold and Hot Water flows well and I see no drainage issues. I did noticed however that the softener liquid stays in the dispenser because the lever got stuck in phase II. I have order the actuator, the cam and the lever, the two latter are in good condition but I'll rather replace the whole set. However, the screw (part # 8181728) is missing and it's no longer available thru the manufacturer. I see NO other screw that can replace it. Any recommendations?
1 Answer Ellie, Based on the information provided the FH error could be a couple of different issues. It indicates that the pressure switch did not show water in the tub or the flow meter did not show the proper flow of water. These could be defective switches and/or lose wiring connections between them and the CCU. Check the wiring connections, this error could also be caused by a syphoning issue at the drain. Check to make sure the drain hose is not too tight in the standpipe or too far down into the standpipe. Read More...

Emily July 10, 2018 for Model Number whirlpool duet front loader F8E2 I have a Whirlpool Duet WfW94HEXW1 front load washer. I am getting the error code F8E2. The service manual identifies this as "dispenser system error" I follow the procedure to clean it but it doesn't work. the dispenser motorbikes a clicking sound but never stops and just goes back and forth. The washer does not fill with water. I read online the switch-dis may just need to be replaced or the contacts could just need to be cleaned. Can you tell me exactly how to get to the switch dis contacts? Thanks! Emily
1 Answer Emily, there is a service pointer out on your model that states there is a problem with the motor for the dispenser, use part number WPW10352973 for your repair. Read More...
John K May 23, 2017 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 The soap dispenser doesn't seem to get sufficient water to wash the soap I into washer. Is that typically the motor or the plastic arm? What is part for each item?
1 Answer John, The most likely cause for this issue would be a faulty dispenser motor WPW10665207. The lever for the dispenser will be WP8181725. Read More...
Fred May 02, 2016 for Model Number whirlpool duet ht When filling soap dispenser with liquid soap or fabric softener, the soap or softener drains directly into the drum. Once the cycle is complete, the drawer is clean, so the water is be redirected there to get the soap. Is this likely a part problem (some valve/door stuck open) or a cleaning issue? I haven't disassembled things yet -- but I've replace the door gasket so I'm not uncomfortable doing so.
1 Answer Fred, You forgot to attach a model number, you'll need to retrieve the tech data sheet(usually attached to the inside of the lower access pane. Remove the top panel then program the control for the Diagnostics Test and review the logged error codes, see if there are any dispenser error codes. When the test progresses to the operational test (C:00) and observe the dispenser motor, linkage and diverter to make sure it operates properly and the diverter assembly moves to the proper position, and dispenses the water to the proper compartment. Samantha July 18, 2015 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 I am getting error code F13. When I press the start button it makes a clicking noise where the dispenser motor is rotating and there is no water coming in. I have cleaned out everything, replaced the dispenser and the pump. No idea what to do next. When I run the diagnostic check, the water runs for a minute and then stops and comes up with the error code again.
1 Answer Hello Samantha, This is a dispenser circuit error that occurs if the dispenser motor is not able to be driven to its proper position. You will need to check the mechanical linkage from the dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser. Check Wire Harness connections to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit (CCU). Check the Dispenser Motor. Read More...
Andy April 19, 2015 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 My washer frequently will not start when holding down the start button. Sometimes if you fiddle with the doors and knobs, it will start, or if you wait for a minute or two. I replaced the door switch but that did not change anything. I tried plugging and unplugging the wire harnesses to clean them, but no change. I tested the door switch, and it worked fine. But when I test the dispenser switch, it always reads open (i.e. Not 0 ohms), no matter the position of the dispenser. How is it supposed to work? How do I replace it?
1 Answer Andy, Yes the dispenser switch being bad would cause the unit to not start because it is sensing the drawer being open. To access the dispenser switch you would need to remove the top panel and this will give you access to the motor. The motor would be screwed to the top of the dispenser assembly. Read More...
Ian M. March 17, 2015 for Model Number WFW8400TW00 The soap dispenser is full of water on the fabric softener side when cycle is finished. It has to be emptied after every load. Why?
1 Answer Hello Ian, This happens because the water valve is cycled multiple times by the control after dispensing has taken place. The owners' manual should state that there will sometimes be water in the dispenser cups by design. Read More...
