Mark F. for Model Number JGD8430ADF I have a Jenn Air Gas on Glass downdraft cook top. I broke the fan switch. How do I remove the glass top to access the fan switch? It looks like the cook top is sitting on a black foam tape. I cannot see any brackets or tabs that are holding the unit to the cabinet. Thanks, Mark
Answer Hello Mark! Shut off the power and gas supply to the unit. You'll then need to remove the grates, knobs, and burner caps. The cooktop will lift up from the counter. There are screws securing the burner bas to the orifice holder which will need to be removed. Lift upward on the burner base, disconnect the igniter wires, and remove the burner base. Once this is completed the top will lift up and off. You'll have access to the fan switch to remove and replace. Hope this helps you, thanks! Read More...
