Ray for Model Number JED8430ADB The replacement switch that you sent me has two unlabeled spade terminals. The existing switch has three wires, black, white, and red. How do I connect the new switch? Answer Hello Ray, Dis-connect power to the unit and remove the old switch. The black wire that leads to the black on the terminal block, (power supply connection), goes on one side of the switch and the black wire that goes to the fan motor goes on the other side of the switch. The remaining wires can be cut and terminated. The manufacturer expects that the old wires be removed from the unit, but as long as they cannot touch any other wiring, they can remain. Read More...
