Jeff for Model Number JED8430ADB I have a shorted Solid State Control (Manufacturer ABB, Part #PHS120A-4210) evidently no longer made for our Jenn-Air cooktop w/ center downdraft SN 19137792EL. I bought a new blower speed control, but found the blower fan is on continuously, even without any speed control in the circuit. As the ABB SSAC unit evidently cannot be replaced, would you think I could disconnect the black power lead and the black blower lead from the shorted SSAC unit, then connect them to the two blades of the speed control -- i.e., just don't use the SSAC unit in the circuit at all?
