Dale for Model Number Jenn Air CVE 3400W Good Morning...I must replace the fan switch(bottom right range surface) and I am uncertain as to how to remove the top panel to have access to the switch. Hopefully, I do not have to remove the total unit and I will be able to access from the top. However, I do not see a screw that will allow me access. Hoping in North Carolina. Thank you!
Answer Dale, Sorry, but you will need to raise the cooktop at least a couple of inches, so you can remove the perimeter screws that hold the frame to the burner box. Most servicers would turn the power off disconnect the vent pipe from the blower, remove the knobs vent and the screws that hold the plenum to the frame,Raise the unit enough to slip a couple of 1x2 planks under the ends of the cooktop to support it, then remove the perimeter screws and lift the top off the burner box. Replace the switch and reverse the procedure. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 7, 2012
