Jeff for Model Number whirlpool gjc3034hq3 My left front dual burner comes on by itself for a few seconds and then back off, sometimes 30 minutes after it was used. The dial is in the off position. This keeps the surface very hot and dangerous. Is this a switch issue, burner or sensor? Thanks!
Answer Hello Jeff, I would open the unit and make sure no wiring is pinched or shorted. If no problems are found, replace the infinite switch. To access the switch, the cook top will have to be pulled out of the counter top to access the screws around the edges of the unit.
