By: Whirlpool
Part Number: OEM18032094
Manufacturer Part Number: WP71002310

This membrane switch is an integral part of several ovens, stoves, and ranges by major manufacturers. This part is a keypad on the outside of the oven that allows a user to choose the appropriate temperature for cooking. Users can also use the membrane switch to choose various functions so the appliance properly cooks a meal. If this part is damaged, key presses may not cause the appliance to choose the right cooking options. If this occurs, the membrane switch should be replaced. Before taking on the replacement process, make sure the oven is unplugged from the wall. Pull the range out for access to the side panels. Remove the screws at the back of both. Pull the back corner out and unhook the clip to remove the side panel. Slide the trim to the back of the range until clear of the control panel. Remove the screws holding the membrane switch so it can be removed. Replace with the new component and reassemble.Created for Jenn Air ranges, stoves, and ovens, this is a genuine OEM replacement membrane switch. It is directly sourced from the manufacturer. This part is sold as a single component.

Gail for Model Number SVD48600W

We have a Jenn Air Model svd48600w. Over the period of a couple of months, the timer quit working, the lights for time, oven temp, etc. dimmed and at last went out, the Bake, Convect Bake & Roast, all stopped working and the last straw was a continuous beeping that drove us nuts until we unplugged it. That meant I had to use a match to start the burners. Sears Direct said I needed a clock control board, mfg. Part #71001799 and they sent one. We replaced it and the fan, oven light, timer start and lights worked but the number pad would not work, thus the timer and clock were useless. Also the Bake, Convect, etc. on the top left side of the control panel did not work. Sears Direct sent another one, same thing. I asked if there might be something else as the problem and they said no. The third one is the same; no working number pad and no oven control, as well as no setting the clock. I see that the Relay board, mfg. #12001691 is often the culprit, the clock board being a misdiagnosis. Should I have someone check it out with a meter before ordering?

Answer

Hello Gail, It is a safe bet that the relay board W10757086 is the issue. Since there is no safe way to test this 240Vac board and we allow you to call in for a refund even on electronic control boards that have been installed, I would recommend to order the part and install it. I'm sure it will solve the issue.
