Answer

Chas, the most common issue for your complaint, is a clogged fill valve W10648041 debris and sediment from the pipes enter the valve and reduces the water flow into the machine. You do want to check the float assembly, manually raise and lower the flaot, make sure it moves freely, and you can hear the water level switch "click" then replace the fill valve. With a proper operating float and fill valve, the water level in the bottom of the tub, after a fill and three to five minute wash, should be in touch with the bottom of the heater element. Thanks and Good Luck
