Mbroo5880i for Model Number WED4900XW0 Dryer will not start. Checked the thermal switch, start switch and motor with multimeter. All are ok. Also, check the door switch for functionality. It clicks and the light goes off and on. Checked all connections and switches in the control panel. No visible issues with the control board. Pulled cover and checked belts and pulley to make sure nothing binding. Checked terminal block on back to verify voltages. No visible wire issues. Everything ok. Not sure what else to check. It was running fine. Completed drying cycle and then would not start when next load of clothes put in.
Answer Mbroo5880I With all the parts checking ok then the issue will be a faulty timer. You will want to check to make sure that there is no power going to the motor by testing voltage to the motor. If there is no power to the motor the timer would be the issue. If there is power to the motor then the motor is bad. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, August 26, 2015
