Travis for Model Number MEDE500VW1 Pulley had gone bad. Replaced it but still just getting a humming noise. Motor looks like it tries to engage then locks up. With some effort I can get it to move again manually. I checked the switch and it seems to be okay but wondering if the parts that the switch engages are somehow locked in place and not disengaging. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Travis, the humming is the drive motor trying to start. The question is is it the motor has bad bearings and needs to be replaced or is the problem with something else, like drum rollers or the idler pulley, Access the motor, remove the belt and check those components.
