Paul for Model Number TC507W1 Our compactor goes down just fine. When it tries to come up, it just grinds until I help lift it to the top of the cycle. Anytime during the time it tries to go up and I let go of it, it stops and grinds.
Answer Hi Paul. You need to inspect the plastic gears and chain drive below. Gear kit part # 882699. There is a 21-1/2 " power screw assy. that lifts the ram, Inspect it for stripped gear also.
