Rob for Model Number tu8100xtp2 Have Whirlpool trash compactor model tu8100xtp2. Ram will compact but not return to top. It just buzzes when in down position. Can bring it up by opening botton and turning gears, but then it just goes down and stays.
Answer Hello Rob. Most of these I've seen with this complaint has a bad switch WP777811 or a bent lever on the switch, (which by the way usually still requires switch replacement).
