George for Model Number Kitchen Aide KUCS03CTSS0 Compactor The ram stats and goes down just fine, but when it is fully extended it will stop and chatter until I turn it off. When I turn it back on the ram comes back up and stops. I replaced the directional switch and stil have the same problem. HELP?
Answer Hi George. Remove the power and pull the unit out completely. Remove the top/side cover. Look at the ram screw and all working gears and chain. Make sure that there are no broken or stripped parts. Make sure the power screw and the ram pressure pads are all lubricated w/ grease part # 675351. Clean the Bag container area and the drawer glides so all is clear and the front closes completely. Let me know how to assist. further when you have all this done.... Thank You. Read More...
