Rscott for Model Number MMV4205DS1 Intermittent "Open/Close Door" error message, whenever the interior light does not come on when door is open, then you close door, put cook time in, hit start, "beep-beep - error message." Sometimes waiting with door open until light comes on (sometimes a few seconds, sometimes several minutes), then close door, set cook time, hit start, it works normally, until next time. This is getting to be an every day thing. Do I need to replace all 3 switches and the fuse? Is it more likely one of the 3 switches? If the fuse blows, it will never work until replaced, right? What are there 3 switches? I get top and bottom but what is the third one for?
Answer Thanks for the question, this has been a common problem with this design, yuou will need to replace the 3 switches, W10269458, W10269460, W10727360 The switches are in a specific position and need to be replaced in the same way. One is a primary, another is secondary, the third is a monitor switch. Yes, you will need to replace the fuse in order for it to work. Read More...
