Steve for Model Number GD5RVAXVB05 After watching the video, I attempted to remove the light switch from our Whirlpool refrigerator. Used putty knife as directed. After prying, wiggling etc.the bottom broke off. It appears to be either glued or clipped in place.tried to pry from the three remaining sides with no luck. Also, it appears the opening is much more rectangular than your video. What do you think?
Answer Steve, that switch is difficult to remove, there is one side that has a tab that needs to be pushed in to remove. Be careful that you do not pull the wires off of the switch, there is not much slack in the wires. Make sure you unplug the refrigerator when working on the switch. Read More...
