John H for Model Number dwu8860bab we have leaks around the bottom of the door. I have noticed that water gets deep inside and the leaks start. I watch the water level switch and the float doesn't seem to rise much and the switch is seldom activated. Does is sound like the float isn't working and if so how do I replace?
Answer John, The proper water level in the bottom of the tub should be determined by starting the dishwasher, allowing it to run three to five minutes, then unlatch the door, and remove the lower rack. If the water level is correct, the heater element should be partially, to fully submerged. If the water level is proper, you'll need to check the lower spray arm 6-903473, and the support seal rings 912313 for leaks and water mis direction along the bottom of the door. Read More...
