Jim, Try these checks next, Check and make sure the lid switch WP8318084 and wiring are OK, check the lid and hinges, make sure the hinges aren't loose or the lid is "moving" and breaking contact with the lid switch. Remove the timer wire harness block from the timer and check the timer terminals for being bent or loose, check the terminals inside the harness block, make sure they are in and "locked" inside the block. If all's OK, the issue should be in the water temperature switch WP8564140, the circuit board can disrupt the water valve operation and cause erratic fill cycles and operation.
