The Water Level Switch Kit is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This part detects the water level in the washer tub and communicating with the control board to regulate the water intake. The switch ensures that the washer fills to the appropriate level for each wash cycle, optimizing water usage and washing performance.

Causes of a bad water level switch can include electrical failures, wear and tear from prolonged use, or obstructions in the pressure tube that connects to the switch.

Symptoms of a bad water level switch include:

  • Washing machine not filling with enough water
  • Overfilling or water spilling out of the tub
  • Washer not advancing through cycles
  • Error codes indicating water level issues

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Maurico, You do not want to try to make any adjustments to this water level switch as it is preset at the factory. If there is an adjustment that needs to be made then you would want to replace the switch.

David S, WLC is the component that determines the amount of water in the tub. The clutch is responsible for the movement of the basket. The motor control board is the electronic component. The humming noise in the water valve could indicate the water is off, or the screens are plugged up or the valve is bad.

J.R.Truoble for Model Number 110.26912690

I have the 90 series and at the agitator base, it has 4 spring loaded plastic cover bolts that protrude 1/8 inch outward.IS it the fiber plate, the basket doesn't release so I can remove it, the spanner nut and block.are not frozen .i want to replace the seal, and the center post bearing .Also the fill level is lower when filling about half way in the drum. Do I need a switch water level or valve water mixing, the water valve screens are free of debris . I get 38 -42 lbs of water pressure from supply lines.

Jr Truoble, You will want to check to make sure that that screens are not clogged on the water valve. If they are ok then check for air dome that is clogged or a water level switch. The plastic pieces would be the lint filter. The basket would need to be rocked back and forth to try to break it free.

Rob, This error would be a no water entering the unit or pressure switch trip not detected. Check the pressure hose for kinks, damage or being clogged. If this checks ok then the issue will most likely be the pressure switch or the control board that is faulty.

Hello Lee. If you can stop the water from entering the machine by turning off the timer or unplugging the unit, you will need to look for a bad pressure hose or replace the pressure switch. If the only way to shut off the water is at the shut off for the water hoses, you will need to replace the water valve in the unit.

Dwayne, The water level switch and tube W10339326 is a good place to start. Remove power to the washer. Disconnect the tube from the switch, and blow in the end of the tube. This can usually clear any debris or sediment that may accumulate in the tube or air dome on the tub. If the problem persists, you'll need to check the gear case and clutch assembly to see that the drive tube is being driven correctly and not partially engaged due to worn out or damaged parts.

Bill, Normally when the washer is filling and agitating at the same time the issue would be a stuck contact in timer which will cause this issue. The timer part number is WP3955340.
