Answer Frank, you will need to check the water inlet valve. If the water inlet valve is bad it can cause the machine to fill when not in use or continously fill when started. An easy way to check the inlet valve to see if it is defective is to start the washer and let it fill. Unplug the unit, if it continues to fill then the inlet valve is bad and needs to be replaced.
