Michael We had a problem with the agitator only moving in one direction, meaning the water & clothes move only in one direction & clothes would wrap around the spindle. Ugh! The rubber belt was completely intact, the controller board was replaced & the problem continued. Our maintenance guy, Brian, looked at the pressure switch, blew through the air tube to remove any blockage. Now the washer agitates properly by moving back & forth. I'm not not really understanding how the pressure switch is connected to the agitation motion of the spindle. Can somebody provide more insight? The good thing is that the problem seems to be fixed.
Answer Michael, A pressure switch will not cause the issue that you were experiencing with the unit only agitating in one direction. The pressure switch would only affect the agitation if it is not being satisfied and will not allow the washer to agitate the clothes. Read More...
