Richard August 12, 2024 for Model Number MFW9800TQ0 Does the water pressure switch (8181695) that has replaced part number WPW10514214 connect to the black in color piece that has the white plug fitting? In other words. Is this one part of a two part component? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Richard, thank you for contacting APP, The Pressure Switch WPW10514214 / AP6022522 is a redesign by the manufacturer of the original part # 8181695, the black piece you are talking about was part of the original design but appears to have been eliminated in the redesign and does not need to be switched over to the new part. Harriet January 02, 2021 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 Right after replacing the drain pump on my Duet the machine stopped filling with water. I've checked that there are no clogs in the water hoses or screens, replaced the Flowmeter and the Water Inlet Valve. The machine is still not filling with water and if I let it run without filling I get the HF error code. I'm $100 into this repair and don't want to waste too much more time and money if the issue is the motherboard. Can you offer some guidance? Replacing the Water Level Pressure Switch would be another $100. You mentioned to others with a similar problem to 'verify there's no siphon problem' but I don't know what you mean by that.
1 Answer Harriet, You will want to check to see if there is 120 Vac to the water valve. If there is not then this will likely be an issue with the main control board. Read More...
F20 April 16, 2020 for Model Number WFW8300SW00 When I run a wash cycle the drum fills with water and agitates for a little while. Then it quits and throws an F20 code. I have to hit cancel and it drains ok. Then I can run a rinse and spin or drain and spin cycle. I have checked the water input hoses and they are clear, filters are cleaned, and water pressure is good entering the drum. Pressure switch? Is there a way to check that before I order a new one? Could it be something else?
1 Answer Hello Sir, the water level pressure switch is part W11417619 it is also recommended the airline tubing be replaced along with it W11252474. The pressure switch has 3 sets of internal contacts (wash/rinse/oversuds) thru which the control board determines the water level in the tub, if the correct level is not reached within the allowed time the F20 (underfill) fault code shows. Because the switch works with very low air pressure it is not practical to try to check its operation. What would be checked is that the hot/cold supply is giving a good flow of water into the tub, the drain hose is positioned so as to not allow a siphon, if that checks ok, and the code appears on only the wash fill then the pressure switch and airline tubing are recommended to be replaced. Kyle Kennard March 08, 2019 for Model Number MFW9600SQ0 My question is f 02 fault witch is failure to drain I have replace the drain pump and it is working fine, but I am still getting the fault. Could this be the pressure switch causing the fault. Thanks you for any help
1 Answer Kyle, Test the pressure switch to make sure that it is resetting to the empty position when the drum is empty, check pressure hose for clogs. If these check ok then this will be a faulty control board. Read More...
Robert January 11, 2019 during the wash cycle & rinse cycle water keeps coming in ordered new inlet valve. need to know how to multi meter test four pin pressure switch. Maytag mhwe300vw13
1 Answer Robert, Remove the bottom panel under the door. There four screws across the bottom to remove and it drops down. Possibly inside the panel, you will find a tech sheet or under the top panel. There are two screws in the rear to remove the top panel and it slides toward the back and up. After you locate the tech sheet read how to get it into diagnostics to read the error codes and begin testing there. Read More...
K Wren August 12, 2018 for Model Number 11045091401 I have a Kenmore Elite HE 4t. The hot and cold water flow seems to be working but when the cycle changes from washing to rinse is when I have the problem. The water for the rinse seems to not go into the tub. Therefore, I get a reading of FH Ordering parts and need to know if I need to get Water inlet flow meter or the pressure switch? Thank you!
1 Answer K Wren, You will want to check to make sure that the screen for the cold water is not clogged on the water valve and check to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to the water valve. If there is not 120 vac to the valve then test to make sure that the control board is sending power. If still no power then this would be a control board issue. If there is power to the valve then the issue will be the valve. Read More...
Michael March 28, 2018 We had a problem with the agitator only moving in one direction, meaning the water & clothes move only in one direction & clothes would wrap around the spindle. Ugh! The rubber belt was completely intact, the controller board was replaced & the problem continued. Our maintenance guy, Brian, looked at the pressure switch, blew through the air tube to remove any blockage. Now the washer agitates properly by moving back & forth. I'm not not really understanding how the pressure switch is connected to the agitation motion of the spindle. Can somebody provide more insight? The good thing is that the problem seems to be fixed.
1 Answer Michael, A pressure switch will not cause the issue that you were experiencing with the unit only agitating in one direction. The pressure switch would only affect the agitation if it is not being satisfied and will not allow the washer to agitate the clothes. Read More...
Jason September 03, 2016 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 My washer keeps throwing a f20 code. I'm getting water in the and there's no clogs anywhere in the machine. I checked the flow switch. Should I feel air coming out of it when it's running?
1 Answer Hello Jason, As per the tech sheet the possible causes for the F20 code are as follows: If there is water in the unit: – Verify that the pressure switch hose is in good condition and properly connected to tub and pressure switch. 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Verify there is not a siphon problem. 3. Verify wire harness connections to inlet valves, pressure switch, flow meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU). 4. Check all hoses for possible leaks. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. Verify pressure switch operation. 7. Verify flow meter operation by blowing air through the part and measuring the resistance. 8. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic test or any cycle. The flow switch should change resistances depending on how much air you blow through it. You will feel the air coming out of the other side when blowing through it. The pressure switch will click when maximum amount of pressure to activate the switch is met and it will read open until the pressure is relieved. You should refer to the units' tech sheet when testing. Read More...
Keith L June 18, 2016 for Model Number GHW9400PW4 It appears that the the rear outer tub has melted approximate 4" from the heating element. Was the melted area caused by the heat sensor, or by the water level sensor. I don't want put this back together and have the same issue. I have a leak, but the root cause, I would assume is the lack of water. You really appreciate your help. Thanks Keith Lash
1 Answer Keith, There is a sheath that the heater would go into and if it is not in that sheath then the heater could fall and cause this issue. You will want to make sure that the sheath is in place. You could test the water level to make sure that it is getting filled enough once the drum has been replace. It also could be an issue where the thermistor is faulty. Read More...
