Jim for Model Number le9500xtw1 I just replaced the heating element and the dryer does not seem to heat up as much as the original element. It is a 5200w element - off brand, I believe as it was made in Mexico? Is it possible that the High Temp - Cutoff sensor is not working and the dryer is being limited to the 60 degree cool down temp? Vent was cleaned and air flow is good. Thanks.
Answer Hello Jim. You will need to test and see how much heat the dryer is producing. You can test this with a multi-meter with temperature TJMA-DMT3. It should cycle between 110° and 155°. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
