Ann Maytag Model MDE4806AYW, dryer will not run on any cycle. I have replaced the door switch. That did not correct the problem. All the lights come on on the control panel, but when I push to start the dryer nothing happens. Not sure where to go from this point forward. I do not have a meter to check continuities.
Answer Ann, the main control W10756689 can be tested for voltage output to the motor by testing the grey wire at relay PS9 for 120VAC when a cycle is started. If there is not 120VAC, the main control has failed. If there is 120VAC, the dryer will need to be unplugged, then the thermal fuse WP40113801 will need to be tested for continuity, and if it doesn't have continuity, would need to be replaced. If there is continuity, the wires will need to be inspected for any breaks or loose wires, and if there are none, then the motor WP2200376 would be the issue. Read More...
