Steve for Model Number EED4400Wq0 Brought an estate dryer about 2 years ago dryer stopped will not start or run. Replaced the start button and checked all the other parts I do hve voltage don't want to buy new parts if I don't need them. Please advise
Answer Steve, You will want to test the thermal fuse on the unit to ensure that it is good. A bad thermal fuse will cause the unit to not operate. Also check the door switch to ensure that the door switch has continuity. If no continuity with the door closed then the switch is bad. Also test to make sure that the motor is getting power. This would be checked with the start switch pushed and checking from blue on the motor to W/red. If there is power present then the motor is bad and would need to be replaced. Read More...
