John for Model Number GGQ9800PW1 My gas dryer will not turn on in any cycle. I tested the thermal fuse, door switch and the start button---all appear to be good---0 or very low ohms reading. I test the timer with the dryer unpluged and in a cycle between the BU and BK terminals and was good=0 and the Tan and White terminals = infinity. The one video I saw said that was then the reason and to replace the timer. Do you agree?
Answer Hello John, You may want to do a continuity check on the thermal. The thermal would be the most likely part to fail and cause complete unit to not run. The T to W terminal is your motor circuit and would be open if the unit is not in operation. When you check the thermal fuse if you are using a digital ohm meter set it for audible tone. If you get audible then it is good, no audible it is bad. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, December 20, 2012
