Hello Jake, The exhaust duct being clogged will contribute to the timer failure. You see, heat is electrical and electronic components number one enemy. One thing that I would definitely check is the power supplied at the receptacle. The transformer on the pole can be out of calibration and if too much or too little voltage is supplied, it will cause issues. With too little voltage, excessive current flow will exist, causing premature failures. With too much voltage available, insufficient current will exist, also wreaking havoc on the electrical circuit. I would check this before checking the appliance itself to avoid un-necessicary parts purchases.
