Susan for Model Number WHIRPOOL WASHER L809200 It smells like something is hot and burning. I think it is the timer. It's hummed before, occasionally and if I moved the dial a little bit it would stop. So far, it's been acting fine. Today, it smells hot. Not using it until someone can look at it. But I like to be "informed" before I call a repairman.
Answer Hello Susan. Unplug the unit and remove the panel panel on the control panel. If you can smell it coming from the timer, then the timer will need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 30, 2013
