Bas for Model Number LGR4634EQ1 My timer does not move after starting the dryer and there is no heat.
Answer Bas, have you started the dryer and let it run in the "timed Dry" setting, to see if it will advance, it should wether the dryer heats or not. If the timer does not advance you can be 95% sure, you'll need a timer, or you have a wiring problem. There is a 1"X1" square plastic cover on the left lower side of the front panel. remove that panel, it is an inspection opening, you can observe the ignition process and determine what is or is not occurring : When you start the dryer, there should be a click, then you should see an orange glow in a few seconds, it should glow for a few more seconds and you should hear a click the glow will start to fade and the gas should be ignited and you'll have a flame. Some indications, no first click / No power to gas valve , no glow / broken igniter or bad flame sensor, glows but no fade or click/ bad flame sensor, everything works proper but no flame/ignition/ bad gas valve coils or no gas to unit.
