Joe for Model Number 86576110 65761 I have a kenmore dryer. The dryer will not start. Door switch is good. Start switch is good. I dont hear the timer running at all. Could it be this, and if not what else should i look at? Both switches are ok. Would you have a timer for this dryer? Its old but still works well. I believe it is from 1987. Thank you
Answer Hello Joe. You will need to test the thermal fuse WP3390719 on the back of the dryer. It is mounted to the blower housing and should read closed for continuity. If it is bad, the dryer will not run. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
