Whirlpool WP3390719 Thermal Fuse (Disposable, One Time Fuse) OEM Part

I replaced the "heating element" which was bad.........as well as the "Thermst-fix" and "Thermal Cutoff" which are located on the side of the element mounting location while I had the dyer all opened up and the element mounting tube removed.......I also replaced the Dryer Thermister which is located on the top of the blower fan.....To get to these parts, you must open the top of the dryer which has spring latches on both sides of the front corners... they need to be pressed in (use a putty knife or kitchen knife) to press in and then the top will raise on it's back hinges.....you then must get the entire front panel removed before you can get to the bottom of the dryer where these are located...after the top is raised on its back hinges, take a screw out on each side of the top panel and then raise the front panel straight up to remove it from it's bottom brackets....You will also have to remove the Dryer Lint screen housing Bottom center ( 4 screws) to get to the fan blower housing

Came across your web site after I Googled my problem. Noticed you had a video on replacing a heating fuse on my Wirlpool elite Dryer. I ordered the part and it came within 2 days watched the video again and the dryer was up and running in 20 minutes. I spent $20.00 on the part, my estimate from an appliance repair was over $200.00 .

Tested sensors/fuse and found thermal fuse did not have continuity. Replaced thermal fuse.

Ordered a new one and installed it and the drier works again.

Washing machine should have been an easy fix that I had done before but ran into problems with the upper bearing and the bearing diameter on the shaft (a no go situation). By the time I was able to get the bearing seated I had damaged the new bearing. Much to my surprise Cierra in customer service sent me out a new bearing kit. I was then able to get the washer up and running with the new bearing kit and motor stator replacement. The dryer was a matter of replacing all of the electrical components inside of the cabinet along with the moisture sensors in the in the lint housing. The drum rollers and felt drum seals were changed as well. Now all dry times are within minutes of what is on the timer without any reruns. Repair Videos are a Great Repair Tool very well done. Couldn't Be Happier Steve
