Jeff for Model Number MVWC300VW1

When I start the wash the water will start filling the tub and then stop. It'll start back again if you push on the lid or side. Then it will run a minute then stop filling again until you push anywhere on the top and it will begin to fill again. I have changed the water inlet valve and hoses as suggested by a repairman. the problem continues. I then bypassed the lid switch as suggested. The problem continues. The washer runs perfect once it is full of water until it gets to the rinse cycle and has to fill up again in which someone has to stand by the machine and keep pushing lightly down on the top or side of the washer until full. Any idea will by welcomed. Thank you

Answer

Hello Jeff, If pressure on the main top or cabinet is affecting the units' operation you will need to remove the cabinet and bypass the lid switch one again to locate the cause of the issue. This is most likely a poor electrical connection.

Jeff, You will want to check the wiring of the unit as it sounds like there may be a loose or bad connection. There could also be a pinched or damaged wiring.
