Martin Green for Model Number 106.57062600 I’ve had the above refrigerator in my garage for a couple years with no problem and recently it’s started tripping the GFCI receptacle. From the limited info I can find on this online it seems that it could be the defrost timer or defrost heater. How can I confirm which if any of these is causing my issue. Thanks in advance Martin.
Answer Martin, You will want to remove all the product out of the freezer and remove the rear wall of the unit and test the defrost heater. The resistance of the heater would be around 11 to 15 ohms. If this checks ok then make sure that it is not the GFCI that is getting weak. If the GFCI is ok then the defrost control board would be the issue. Read More...
