Gary for Model Number Kenmore 10656879600 How do I remove the control panel section inside the refrigerator so I can replace the defrost timer? I removed the two screws in the back but something is holding it in the front and I can not see any more screws.
Answer Hi Gary. The defrost control board is part # 4388932, located on the rt. side in the control area. There are 4- screws holding the control compartment to the upper cabinet. There are 2 rear 1/4" screws in the back outer rim. There are 2- more in the front half. You may need to use a plastic putty knife to gently remove the front label /cover part # W10124121.
