Darryl for Model Number ED5JHEXTB00 My fridge has been acting strange since it was repaired after an electrical surge. I had to replace my wiring harness, compressor, control board, condenser fan and my defrost thermostat. The proper amount of refrigerant was put in and made sure there were no leaks, pressure is running though the system and there is no over heating. The fan runs in the freezer and there is no frost build up of any kind. It first started to cool properly after being plugged back in but soon it started to return to room temperature. The compressor turns on and off every few hours after running. I don't see any pressure drop in the coolant after 36 hours. Is it the control board with a faulty auto defrost timer or another issue?
Answer Darryl, Thanks for the question!!! If the compressor is running and no frost is forming on the evaporator that would mean you have a sealed system issue. You would need to contact an EPA-certified technician for repair. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, November 12, 2022
